A. PREFACE

Your founding Team Captains have decided on the following rules and requirements for Team Violentricity. We equally share the responsibilities of forming and enforcing these rules. More amendments or additions may follow, based on knowledge gained, that will help strengthen the Team and help make us a formidable force in every gaming community.

These rules and requirements may seem outlandish to some. To those, may we recommend other teams. We hope these will prevent most of the problems that have been seen to damage other teams. You will know who your teammates are, you will respect them and ultimately we will be quite successful. The team captains put a lot of time into this team in attempt to make it rewarding for each of us. The same is expected from each of you. We all have different lives, different time schedules, different priorities, nevertheless your best is ALWAYS demanded.

Team Violentricity is a tightly knitted group of some of the most respected people in online gaming, and we have a continuing goal of remaining that way. We are not a one game "clan" or "guild". We are a team who shares and enjoys a common interest in online gaming, and take it to it's fullest potential. We move from game to game often playing many, however we have a standard rule that we follow, and that is our team comes first overall. We plan on sticking together until the end, and you can plan on recognizing Team Violentricity as a formidable force in any game in which we play, and those of the future! As we are eager in setting a new standard in online gaming. The Team >V< way!!!

LOSE with Dignity & Respect! Annihilate as One!
------------------------------------------------

B. RESPECT

You WILL conduct yourself with respect for your teammates and enemies, both on and off the battlefield. Anywhere you play, on the field, in chat rooms, on boards, etc., you are representing Team Violentricity always be aware of your actions!

Disrespect and foolish behavior are childish actions which reflect on Team Violentricity as a whole, and will not be tolerated. Have fun AND be respectful of others, no matter how badly they annoy you. As adults, it is easy to do. Respect leaders. They were leaders when you made your choice to join Team Violentricity and they have the position for a reason. YOU will never, ever, chew out another Team Violentricity teammate in front of others! Friendly teasing is acceptable, as long as we see a lot of smiley faces! When it gets to the point a teammate is starting to get annoyed, DROP it immediately, or drop and report such conduct to one of the captains! RESPECT each other at all times!

C. RECRUITMENT

Team Violentricity wants to attract the most talented, most respected players in online gaming. To do this, we have a "come to you" policy. If we find interest in a person we will approach the player. Please do not bug about joining, if we like what we see, & think you have what it takes we will approach you.

Recruiting is a 3 step process.

1. Observation list

2. Sponsorship

3. Membership

To get recruited, players will have to make the "observation list." Any Team Violentricity member can recommend a player for the observation list. If you know a player, you can ask him to mention you to the team. Players have to be on the observation list before they are considered for recruitment.
Sponsored players do not wear the team tag. They wear >V.r.< before their nickname (ex. >V.r.< Recruit). Sponsored players participate in scrims and practices with the team. This allows the sponsored candidate and their potential teammates to see if they can all work well together. During this time the team captains make sure that the candidate lives up to the Violentricity team guidelines. Meanwhile, the recruit candidate makes sure Team Violentricity is a good place to call home.
A player may be sponsored for a period of 30 days maximum, after which they are removed from consideration and are free to either retry for sponsorship or pursue other goals. A candidate may be sponsored an unlimited number of times.
To get into Team Violentricity, however, is the biggest challenge. It requires a near-unanimous vote across the entire team. A single "NO" vote is thrown out of the pool of votes, to prevent a personal vendetta against that candidate. If the candidate receives a unanimous vote within their 30 day sponsor period, they become a member of Team Violentricity & may now wear our great tag with honor.
Acceptance is NOT always made based on skill alone. Willingness to be an active part of the team and to effectively communicate is equally important, as well as maturity and behavior, which overrides any and all topics when considering a possibility for recruitment. Acceptance may not be based on a one game showing. Each situation is different, and will be dealt with, as the team & team captains deem appropriate.

D. COMMUNICATION

The only way to have a team that does not ultimately fail miserably is through good communication. Multiple lines of communication will be always open; public board, private board, email, IRC, TS, etc. All matches and practices will be posted on the event calendar, it is you're responsibly to check them. If you have to miss a game or practices PLEASE notify team captains/division captains in advance time. If you can't get in contact with any if the captains for some apparent reason, you can post your request on the message board, IRC, or even via e-mail. There should be NO excuse in this matter. It is VERY important to the team that we know whether or not you are going to participate.

Real life is something we all participate in to different degrees. There will be instances when we all may miss matches and/or practices, this is perfectly acceptable if the captains are notified in timely advance and a good reason is given. Constant absences without reason (for a period of 1 week or longer), will constitute the removal from Team Violentricity. Willingness to give and share information about ourselves to our team members is very important. This provides a feeling of unity on and off the field, which will increase teamwork and the enjoyability of the game. Most, if not all of us play the game not only for the fun and competition, but also for the friends and bonds we make with those we play.

Participation on the team message boards will be required. Message boards provide a great place to discuss things with other teams, and to keep up with the goings on in the community. Participation on the boards allows other players to familiarize themselves with our goals as individuals and as a team, and let them see we are a serious, dedicated and honorable force to deal with. They also can be a fabulous source of laughs and entertainment.

TeamSpeak will be used, must be downloaded and familiarized. Whenever we play, it will be used! If you need help setting it up, just ask. If you can't use TS for whatever the reason, then you CAN'T join. PERIOD!

Idiling (staying in our channel as long as your computer is powered on) in our IRC channel (#Violentricity on irc.gamesnet.net) is equally important, it allows us to communicate with one another when needed. It is also the tool that is used to setup scrimmages with other teams, as well as getting to talking to some other great faces of the gaming community. When your computer is on, you must be in our IRC channel, it helps greatly to organize things, as well as keeping in touch with one another on a day to day basis, as it is used as our primary means of communication between members. Not to mention it shows our team colors.

E. RANK SYSTEM

Team Violentricity will use a ranking system for it's membership. And organizing a division/player.
RANKS WITHIN Team Violentricity

Team Captain

Division Captain

Member

Promotion to a Division Captain will only occur if another Division Captain leaves the Team. At which time the remaining Team Captain will elect a replacement.

F. RANKING DUTIES & RIGHTS

Team Captain - A Team Captain has the rights to over rule any decision made by anyone in the team for just cause. ALL ranks under the Team Captain must obey! Unless the judgment made by the Team Captain is not fair, in this case the matter will be discussed openly and will be discussed amongst other captains.

Division Captain - From time to time Team Violentricity may appoint a division captain for a game in which the current captain(s) no longer plays, doesn't play at all, or cannot play, provided the division has enough support within. These chosen division captains are appointed by the team captains, to people who have proven their dedication to the team over a period of time. They uphold the same rights and powers as do the team captain(s) for their respective gaming division. Division Captain(s) Oversee any and all decisions made towards, or that reflects upon, their respective gaming division. Making sure their respective gaming division is ran in accordance with our team outline.

Member - You begin at this rank once you have been voted out of your recruitment stages! You will remain at this rank for the duration of your stay with us, unless you prove yourself worthy of moving into a division captain position, if and only when another team captain leaves, or a new division is created. No special privileges are granted, and you are then considered equal alongside other members.

G. DEMOTIONS & EJECTING

Demotion will be decided upon by the respective division captains and team captains! When a captain sees reason for ejecting a member from their respective roster or division, they will bring it to the attention of the team captains for proper approval. At that time the team captains will either refuse or accept that request. This is to insure the proper care and respect for all members, and will be carried out with tact!

Based on the members activity at all times, which includes practice, matches, scrimmages, meetings, pub play, IRC activity, voice comms, & any other team oriented outings. This also includes a members behavior, on and off the battle field.

You WILL be demoted and possibly discharged for some breaches of Conduct or flagrant disobedience to the Code. Inappropriate acts on the playing field, or within the message boards will force an immediate action on the part of the Leadership. We are adults, and will conduct ourselves as ladies and gentlemen at all times. We are professionals in a gaming world; always remember that you represent ALL of us when online PERIOD!

H. DIVISIONS EXPLAINED

It's important to remember that Team Violentricity is NOT dedicated to one game alone, and often at times move forward into other gaming arenas & communities, often in many at once. As we are not dedicated to any one game alone, and more so dedicated to our team & ourselves. New divisions can be & usually are created by finding enough support for a game from within the current members of one or many divisions. If a new game comes out & has enough internal support, there is a great chance that Team Violentricity will form a division for that game.

The removal of a division may occur if a current game in which Team Violentricity has a division for, loses support from it's current members of that division, and no longer sees an interest in continuing from the majority of the members of that division. If & when this happens, all current members of that division will removed from that division and placed on the inactive list, and the rules following inactivity will then apply to each & every member of that division. When this occurs, all members, including division captains, are asked to remove their tags immediately. Every member therein is encouraged to seek new membership from within another division, if applicable.
It is possible, for a member to be active in 2 divisions at one time, provided the rules of that division allow for this. As every division in Team Violentricity is different. Keep in mind that different rules may apply to each. However also keep in mind that you must be active in every division, as that is a standard rule in any division. This means pub play, matches, practices, scrims, etc etc. Make sure before you signup on 2 divisions that your absolutely sure you can make that commitment! Failure to meet those requirements could mean your dismissal from a division, try not to let this happen.

I. DISCHARGE FOR CAUSE

Should any member, determine a major act of disregard for the team outline has occurred, or other flagrant violation, they will immediately get the attention of a division captain, or team captain to investigate the situation further. If that captain determines the charges are true, the player will be asked to remove the Team Violentricity tag immediately, without questioning! If a problem arises in public, everyone will be notified that your actions will and shall not reflect on Team Violentricity as you are IMMEDIATELY removed from our team. And to react upon your inappropriate behavior, which may include kicking/banning, and ultimately your removal from our great team.

Continued disregard for the team outline or other violations, or misconduct anywhere will constitute cause for discharge. A player is allowed some leeway, and will be counseled by the Leaders & respective Team Commanders, but three strikes and you're out does apply!!!
Should any member become inactive for any reason, in any gaming division, for a period of 15 days, that member will immediately be removed from the current division’s roster and will be immediately added to the inactive list. Once a member has been placed on the inactive list, they will remain there for a period of 30 days, and will no longer be considered a member of that gaming division.

If no activity is seen from the member in those 45 days, that member will be immediately removed from the inactive list and kicked from the team. If during that 45 day time span a member shows activity once again within that gaming division, they will have to face a re-installment penalty of an additional 15 days to recover their original status with that gaming division, if applicable.

During these 15 days, your activity with the team will be monitored, & recorded entirely. Once a member has been placed on the inactive list, they are no longer considered to be a member of that gaming division. As such your position may be recruited over, and there is a chance that once this happens, you may no longer have a place on any division’s roster.

Should any member, become inactive from the team for any reason, you are no longer considered to be a member of Team Violentricity. As such, do not wear our tags publicly, in gaming servers, in IRC, on messages boards, etc etc. You no longer represent Team Violentricity at this time, and you ARE NO LONGER PERMITTED to wear our tag!

You are however, more then welcome to come back and re apply for membership with any gaming division at a later time. However you will have to re-apply and the recruitment process will apply to you once again upon your return.

J. RANDOM RULES & REQUIREMENTS

NO GLOBAL CHAT WILL BE USED IN A MATCH BY A MEMBER OF Team Violentricity. DO NOT USE THEM!! Not in matches, Practices, and not in scrimmages while you are wearing the Team Violentricity tag. That only shows an unorganized team, as well as ignorance. Your Division Captain & respective Team Captain will be the only ones to use public chat! With the only exception of wishing our opponents good luck, fun or great games. This exception is not only allowed, it is also encouraged.

No player will be accepted who uses a dial up connection. The result of having several 56k modems at a practice or a match is never a good one. It causes a major disadvantage, both for the individual and the team, thus cannot be allowed. It is unfortunate that we must place this rule, because of the talent that is out there still on 56k, but in the long run we want consistency!
No member of Team Violentricity is allowed to be a member of any other type of clan or team, that Team Violentricity Intends on competing in, playing, or is currently competing in, including all mod's for that game! This is due to many reasons the first and foremost is that Team Violentricity must come before any other team at all times. The only exception to this rule would be if that team existed as a skinning or some type of mod or other development team, which has no bearing on competition or other types of gaming which involves playing the game as a team for ladder or competition purposes. If it is found that you are guilty of this, you will be asked to remove your tags immediately!

When a member joins Team Violentricity you are expected to keep confidential information private from the public. You are not to give out any information that the public don’t already know, this means no passwords, no IPs, scripts, and anything else that is posted in private. The only way you can give any of this information to people that do not wear the Team Violentricity tags ">V<" is with approval from the team captains, other wise if caught you will be asked to remove your tags immediately.

K. MEMBER CONDUCT & BEHAVIOR

At ALL times a captains word is LAW. What they say goes, they have that position for a reason and always carryout the teams best interest. When they give an order, you follow it without question! PERIOD! If you disregard what your captains ask of you, or do not listen, you may be asked to remove your tags IMMEDIATELY!

- Publicly

By now you should understand the seriousness of the above mentioned rules and understand how to carry yourself in public. One key to remember is to always keep a community interest within Team Violentricity as a whole. What this means is always handle yourself in a respective way, and keep the gaming community's at bay by having interest in us. Also keep respecting us, as a team, as individuals, and as an elite unit.

- Practices

There will be absolutely no usage of verbal scripts during practices. This makes it way too difficult to communicate. Especially for people who experience trouble using TS at times.

Always play the position you are asked, even when it sounds crazy or not your best. That will be figured out in time. It's important for us to see what is best, not assumed. Also, don't assume because you are asked to do something, that it means you are not qualified to do something else. We will always try to have players play what they can accomplish the best.
Never correct another player, leave that for the leaders. We will be making sure all players are held accountable for their actions in practice and matches. If ever a question in this area is necessary, because you don't understand why someone wasn't corrected ask after the practice in private. This will help to eliminate wasted time in accusatory and defensive statements which ramble on and swallow up our time and concentration.
If  you can't make team events please don't accept these rules. We would like to have practice for everyone to meet but not everyone's schedule is the same, so by the majority vote we choose the days and times.

- Scrimmages & Matches

At no time is global chat ever allowed in one of these events. Period. End of Story. This is for many reasons: For one, the silent team is the forbidding team. It causes unrest for many other teams. This includes scripts. NEVER EVER use verbal scripts. It is nerve racking and promotes chaos, Save it for pubs. The reason behind this rule is that Team Violentricity is working to create an image. Due to the various backgrounds of all individuals on the team (including ages) you never know what an opponent will be likely to spout off. Diminishing the reputation of the team and fellow teammates, and leading to utter chaos.

We are all held accountable for the actions of our teammates whether we like it or not. We will not be the team that whines and cries about anything. If you have something to say (problems about lag, problems about the enemy, or about something else) do it in team chat, NEVER GLOBALLY. We Shall complain, but only in team chat, AND NOT ON voice comms!!! This rule shall never be questioned or argued. If this rule is broken, depending on the offense, it could end your time with this team. So be forewarned! When you play a team and they don't talk, it truly does make the other team nervous. There will also be times when you have to fight to  keep silent, because there may be times  that the opposing side may be complaining, or being unsportsmanlike. Just hold your tongue. It will be addressed later. They will be disappointed they never got a response.

Never question an order in a game or refuse. There is no time to explain reasons. Only give direction. It is true it could be the wrong order or decision. That can be discussed and corrected afterwards. That's where we as a team learn hindsight. Foresight does nothing to teach. If asked to meet somewhere, do it. If asked to kill yourself, do it. If asked to play a position even if you "suck" at it, DO IT. It can be discussed later.
Try to be in IRC, and Team Speak 30 minutes before an event. This is role call time and where positions will be confirmed. Things always have to change at game time. It's easier to do here than in in-game chat. At the beginning of each, a time will come when the respective captains need the floor to announce positions and whatnot. In order to get this done quickly all other speech will stop.

L. Anti Cheating Policy

Cheating is something that Team Violentricity DOES NOT tolerate. We're out to compete for the fun that follows competition. It isn't fun competing against one who has a totally unfair advantage over another player. And it's especially not fun, being cheated against. Cheaters are & forever will be banned from everyone of our servers. If a member of Team Violentricity is ever caught cheating, your time with us will be over immediately! Team Violentricity will forever have a zero tolerance attitude towards cheating.

M. Team Ordinance

Everyone in Team Violentricity (recruit, member, division captain, or team captain) agrees by, and follows these rules each and every time we log onto our computers. WITH NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
