There are quite the large number of teams on the L4D CAL ladders. Anyone interested? Yes, no, maybe? orgy?

CAL is in disarray with their recent acquisition. They've also suspended operations:
"All CAL Operations are currently suspended while the acquisition is being completed. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused to the community.
A more formal announcement will be made in the coming days regarding when operations will resume."
TWL is an option but they require a server (which is not supposed to be the case).
Also, I haven't seen you on L4D. We've been playing the shit out of it since the demo came out. We also play extremely late/early and with an inconsistent roster so I don't know how matches will work out.

That's the kinda thing that produces evil offspring. My work schedule blows anal. I would be avail 6pm-12am M->F and on weekends 24/7. What time do you guys play? If you let me know a set time you guys play, I'll make sure to be on during those hours. There are some pretty cheap server hosts out there for this game. How many slots/players are needed for TWL?

It sounds like your availability is actually pretty normal and consistent. That would be good for competition times. We usually play somewhere between 12am-8am EST at the extremes so it would be a matter of making sure people will be on ahead of time for a match. 3 people are PST, 1 MST, and 1 EST plus yourself.
TWL doesn't have a slot requirement in the ruleset but based on experience I would say at least 9 or 10 slots to make room for admins.
EDIT: Game server providers can only offer 8 slots for L4D.
